In June 2010, Andrew Gamble and Jivko Jivkov (the former Project Manager and Project Engineer, respectively) filed suit against the DCBC, claiming $534,000 and $818,000, respectively, for unpaid work. The plaintiffs also requested that the GNWT not be allowed to make asset transfer from the DCBC which would prevent potential claims from being paid.
It is possible the amounts may be connected to the GMP Reduction Agreement, which presumably allowed them to take some part of their compensation in the form of equity in the DCBC.
The suit was resolved in March 2011 on undisclosed terms.
